Authenticity

At Obsydion Arts & Artifacts, authenticity is not a feature. It is the foundation of everything we do. We operate as a reputable dealer across multiple channels, curating museum-caliber objects with a clear, legitimate supply chain and a level of documentation that sophisticated collectors expect.

Our standard is simple: every piece must be something we would proudly place in a serious private collection, both for what it is and for what can be proven about it.

Provenance, Due Diligence, and Legitimate Supply Chain

The art and antiquities markets demand rigor. That is why our acquisition process is built around provenance review, careful attribution, condition assessment, and disciplined due diligence before an object is ever offered for sale. We are guided by the same professional principles that reputable dealers and institutions emphasize: verify authenticity, disclose material information, and act responsibly with respect to title and ownership history.

Certificate of Authenticity

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, every item sold on Obsydion includes a Certificate of Authenticity accompanying the object. Your COA is designed to be useful, not decorative: it is intended to document what the piece is, how it is attributed, and the supporting details available at the time of sale, creating a clean paper trail for insurance, appraisal, estate planning, and future resale.

Our Curatorial Network

Obsydion sources and curates through a trusted network of respected dealers, institutions, and private collections, with an emphasis on quality, rarity, and long-term collectability. This approach allows us to bring forward objects that feel unmistakably elevated: historically meaningful, visually exquisite, and presented with the discretion and polish a high-end collector expects.

When a COA is Not Included

Occasionally, we may offer a piece without a Certificate of Authenticity. When that happens, we will never leave it ambiguous: the product description will clearly state that no COA is included, along with the context we can provide (such as known collecting history, prior sale references, or attribution notes). If we cannot stand behind an object with appropriate transparency, we do not list it.

A Final Word

We believe collecting should feel extraordinary: the object, the story, and the confidence that what you purchased is exactly what it is represented to be. Obsydion exists to deliver that confidence with taste, discretion, and standards worthy of the collections we aspire to serve.
