Native American, Midwestern United States, Central Plains, Sioux tribe, ca. mid to late 20th century CE. A set of 2 pipe bowls carved from red catlinite (also called pipestone), 1 of a distinct tomahawk head shape and the other of a minimalist right-angle form. A lathe-turned wooden handle doubles as the pipe stem. Size of largest (w/ wooden handle): 4.8" L x 1" W x 12.625" H (12.2 cm x 2.5 cm x 32.1 cm)
